Here’s some insight into how two of the ingredients in resolve roll-on support congested skin:
Jojoba has a host of benefits for acne-prone skin. It’s anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, wound-healing, and moisturizing, and also contains high amounts of vitamin E, silicon, copper, zinc. In addition, it’s been theorized that jojoba acts as an effective acne treatment because it signals your skin to balance its oil production. Technically, jojoba is a wax ester instead of a true oil and it has an uncanny resemblance to the natural moisturizing factor in human skin, called sebum. Overproduction, thickened or blocked sebum positively contributes to congested skin and the formation of acne, so when you apply jojoba, your skin basically receives the message that it doesn’t need to overproduce sebum, lessening the chances of acne forming. Jojoba also feels lovely on the skin and because it’s so similar your skin’s own natural moisture, it absorbs beautifully!
Manuka essential oil is obtained from sustainably harvesting the leaves of the manuka tree and extracting the oil through steam distillation. It contains many of the same constituents as manuka honey, yet at one hundred times the potency! (As the production of this oil doesn’t involve the use of bees, though, manuka oil is a vegan product.) Manuka essential oils is also about thirty times more powerful than tea tree essential oil, in terms of its antibacterial, anti-fungal, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, while being more gentle in scent and how it feels on the skin. It smells more like honey than medicine… very nice!
