Description
You may have heard that “skin is skin” and eye creams are unnecessary, I tend to differ. Even though the skin around the eyes is still skin, it has some issues that are a bit different from other areas of the face, primarily that it’s a little more sensitive with the skin being thinner, and there might be specific concerns, such as dark circles and puffiness that don’t exist on other areas of the face.
The main goal of an eye cream, aside from brightening and firming the eye area and reducing puffiness and the look of fine lines is to deliver the same active ingredients you would use on the other parts of the face but at doses that are gentle enough to not trigger irritation or cause issues like millia (little white bumps) that can result from using too heavy an oil around the eye area. In addition, if someone has oily skin and just uses a serum on their skin, more moisturization would be needed for the eye area. So, yes, an eye cream can be a really useful step in your skin care ritual.
“I’ve been using your moisturizer and eye cream for more than a year. Wonderful products! They seem to kiss my skin and I love the way my skin looks. Thanks!” ~Elizabeth
“Supreme Eye cream with actives: What a great find! This cream tackles every skincare concern–including preventive, hydrating, rejuvenating and firming. The combination of peptides and other wholesome ingredients are a winning combination. I am a medical student so long hours wreak havoc on my under-eyes. So I keep this little jar in my pocket and reapply throughout the day– a little goes a long way and it wears well under and over my eye makeup. Will purchase again!” ~Natalie
